Paradores and Tradyso sign a partnership agreementParadores de Turismo and Tradyso have signed recently a partnership agreement, with whom about 93 hotels will integrate the main distribution systems(GDS) of Tradyso.
For Paradores, it will mean an increase of its presence in sales channels where cheap flights are also offered, and will also give it the opportunity to make real-time bookings, a benefit for its potential customers.
The agreement was made public through a press note sent by both companies. The sales and hotel distribution Services Company will allow Paradores de Turismo to figure amongst the GDS of Amadeus, Worldspan and Galileo, four of the most important, as they’re used for the big majority of travel agencies. Paradores will hence enjoy the benefit of boosting its presence in the global sales channels, and to have the opportunity to “close relationships” with the travel agents.
General Director of Commercialization of Paradores de Turismo, Carlos Abella, noted that this new agreement stands inside the internationalization policy that the Public Hotel Chain has been leading forward with the objective of opening to new markets and find new international clients.
Nowadays, the 29 percent of the customers of the network comes from abroad. Nevertheless, and within the objectives of Paradores, there is a will to increase this percentage, and for that end a plan with different actions and distribution channel has been taken.
The agreement with Tradyso, specifically, constitutes an example of this. The public Hotel Chain wants to increase this percentage in , at least, 6 points from now till 2012, and reach in this way a 35% of international guests.
According to the affirmations of the General Director Abella, this market expansion will allow them to “proceed with the modernization strategy of all the hotels of Paradores and to continue with their particular combination of tradition and modernity”
On the other hand, General Director of Tradyso, Javier Silvestre, showed himself satisfied by the agreement signed with pradores, which, he assured, “will help the company attain its objectives of diversification and increasing of the sales channels”. Also Silvestre affirmed that this agreement guarantees the “opening to brand new markets”.
