Idiso and Innwise consolidate their international leadership at the 2015 ITB
For yet another year, Idiso and Innwise attended the Berlin ITB, the most important international tourism fair that just can’t be missed, this year it was held between the 4th and 8th of March. Our companies displayed, to the more than 100.000 professionals in attendance, the most international of our products as well as technological, marketing and hotel revenue management services.
The Travel Technology sector showed clear growth as one of the biggest and most international segments of the Berlin ITB exhibition. Among those participating, we have to highlight Baidu, the Chinese search engine that is similar in size to Google, as well as Qunar, one of China’s largest reservation websites.
As a novelty, Idiso and Inwise presented the integration of Idiso with the new TripAdvisor sales channel: Instant Booking. This service allows a hotel to distribute rooms, only paying for guest bookings once they are completed. One of the advantages that this service offers the hotel is the lack of fixed fees, as well as the fact that the Instant Booking option appears as the first booking option, before all other OTA’s, this improves conversion rates as the client can make the booking all from right within the TripAdvisor site.
Other items and services displayed at the ITB were the new booking engine that adapts to any device; new direct connectivity with the industry’s most prestigious travel agents, bed banks and tour operators; the contact centre’s new award, the Golden CRC to the Best Tourist Contact Centre; the website design award and full 360º marketing (planning, contracting, Revenue Management as well as CRM and Online Reputation Management).
Idiso’s president, Luis del Olmo, took part in the 2015 ITB debate IT Takes Over Hotel Industry: How Software and Internet Distributors Are Shaking Up the Industry. He explained how hotel marketing is changing and that technology is now a key element for hotel distribution.
